We are looking forward to welcoming a purchasing assistant to Specialkemi 2 in Lund. We are seeking someone who is structured and service-oriented and who wants to work in a combined role as a purchasing assistant and medical secretary.

The Clinical Chemistry and Pharmacology area operates in 10 hospitals in Skåne and has about 200 employees. We are an accredited laboratory with a strong focus on quality and service to our customers. Clinical chemistry and pharmacology are organized into units and processes with unit managers and process leaders working closely together. For us, it is natural to collaborate across professional boundaries to provide the best possible results for our customers.

Specialkemi 2 is part of Clinical Chemistry and Pharmacology and consists of 18 biomedical analysts, 2 hospital chemists, 4 medical secretaries, and a janitor.

The position is divided, where the majority of the work is focused on purchasing and invoice management, with additional tasks in the reception for clinical chemistry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a purchasing assistant at Specialkemi 2, you will be offered a responsible and varied job with both administrative and patient-related tasks in newly built and modern premises. The role involves many contacts and active work to create a well-functioning collaboration with suppliers and the organization.

In this role, it is important that you are flexible and have an easy time collaborating. You may need to support the reception as needed, for example, in case of absence or to relieve colleagues. During holiday periods, there are planned shifts in the reception, while during other parts of the year, it is about supporting as needed.

Tasks as Purchasing Assistant (approx. 80 percent)

• Place and follow up orders
• Manage deliveries and discrepancies
• Review, code, and manage invoices
• Perform administrative tasks related to purchasing and inventory
• Have many contact points and collaborate with various suppliers as well as colleagues within the organization
• Collaborate and cooperate with other healthcare and laboratory staff

Tasks as Medical Secretary (approx. 20 percent)

• Staff the Clinical Chemistry and Pharmacology reception and provide service to staff and customers
• Receive and register cases and referrals
• Perform administrative tasks related to laboratory operations
• Collaborate and cooperate with other healthcare and laboratory staff

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with relevant education as a medical secretary and experience in administrative tasks. You have good administrative skills and are used to working in various IT systems. Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement, as well as good knowledge of English since contact with customers and partners occurs in both languages. You work service-oriented and professionally and are meticulous, structured, and have good collaboration skills. Experience as a purchasing assistant or administrator, experience from healthcare or clinical laboratory, experience in invoice management and orders, as well as familiarity with various administrative tools and systems are advantageous.

You have excellent collaboration skills and are flexible and responsible in your work approach. To thrive with us, you work carefully and structured.
